Symptoms Of Depression Questionnaire

What are the depression symptoms

As long as you are human, you will always be vulnerable to experiencing the wide range of emotions that come with being human; including depression. However, just because you have a moment of sadness, low energy, or lack of motivation, it does not mean you’re facing clinical depression. While I won't provide a list of diagnosable symptoms (that’s what professionals are here for; no need to for you to take on that responsibility), I will provide you with a small check in questionnaire to determine best next steps.

Self-Questionnaire for Depression

It’s not uncommon for people to wonder if what they’re experiencing is normal. The questionnaire below will walk you through common experiences of those who battle depression. Take mental note of/check all that are showing up for and/or resonate with you:

  1. You get through your day but that’s all it is; you’re getting through. You feel as though you’re just going through the motions. You’re existing; not living.

  2. The smallest tasks feel overwhelming. Even thinking about doing them feels like too much; you can’t seem to find the energy to start which leaves you feeling even more defeated.

  3. You’ve lost interest in things you used to enjoy and you’re not sure how to (and you’re feeling hopeless on if you will) feel that enjoyment again.

  4. You often wonder “Why does everything feel so hard?” and/or “Why can’t this be easier?”; leaving you feeling directionless on where to even begin relieving the heaviness.

If any part of this felt familiar, you’re not alone. You don’t have to keep forcing yourself through each day like this. I would love to connect with you and offer a path forward. Click below to schedule your FREE 15 minute phone consultation where I’ll begin to give you an idea of how you can find relief from the heaviness; allowing you to rediscover joy.
